And It Just Doesn’t Stop
Ever had something you’d been working towards fail miserably because fate yanks the carpet out from under you? Pretty much what we had happened today. Thing is that I kinda saw it coming. Or, at the very least, I wasn’t all that surprised. Just disapointed.
Either way, it meant another busy day for me. Wish I could tell more about what’s been going on, but it’s one of those sorts of things. Yeah.
Oh well. Gotta get cleaned up. I smell like an oil refinery and I am exhausted.

Sorry about that, folks, but even the US Navy has Internet connection problems now and then. Expect it to be a somewhat regular occurence.
It honestly hurts to do this, but I have to drop my involvement with the Fenspace project over on the Drunkard’s Walk Forums. I won’t completely quit – I can’t pull the stuff I’ve created without hurting everything else in the project. Instead, I’m going to leave it to other people to take care of, but to do that I need to get everything I’ve done in there fully wikified and posted in the Fenwiki. This way they’ll have a solid framework to work off of.
There’s been plenty going on lately – gunshoots and drills and such. They try to keep us busy and all. There was a surprise one morning when we had some war ships pop up out of nowhere, but it turns out they were Japanese. Given that we’re somewhere in the neighborhood of Okinawa, that would be no surprise.
I have Executive Officer’s Inquiry later today. It’s going to be a closed affair, so only myself, the Master at Arms, and the Command Master Chief will be there with the XO.
